Weather to get pleasant as rain expected in Karachi, other cities
The weather in the country is expected to be pleasant as the Meteorological Department has predicted more rains and relative drop in temperature from next week.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the temperature is likely to remain below normal throughout the country next week.
The areas where wind, dust, thunder and rain are expected include Balochistan’s Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah, Chaman, Pashin, Nushki, Nasirabad, Kalat, Lasbela, Khuzdar and Sibi. Sindh’s Sukkur, Dadu, Karachi, Hyderabad, Jacobabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mirpurkhas, Khairpur and Larkana; and in Punjab’s Leh, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar, Multan, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Okara and Pakpattan on May 28 (evening/night) and May 30, PMD said.
Meanwhile in Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Siddhanoti, Kotli, Bhimbar, Mirpur, rain and hailstorm are likely to occur with wind, dust and thundershowers in Kashmir. Diamir, Astoor, Ghazar, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche and Shagar of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Bajaur, Kurram, Waziristan, Kohat, Bannu, Tank, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan. will remain Intermittently in Islamabad, Murree, Guliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana, Mandi Bahauddin, Khushab, Mianwali, Narowal, Sialkot, Kasur, Lahore and Jhelum. It rained with thunder.
The meteorological department added that there is a possibility of rain at some places.
The Meteorological Department has advised the concerned authorities to remain on alert to avoid any untoward situation during the forecast period as dust and wind storms are expected to damage structures and structures in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh and Kashmir. NDMA warns of extreme weather events.
