Usama Mir makes great start at T20 Vitality Blast
Pakistani leg-spinner Usama Mir got off to a dream start in the ongoing T20 Vitality Blast with a brilliant all-round performance in the first match on Wednesday.
The cricketer, who represents Worcestershire Rapids, got off to a flying start as his side thrashed hosts Northamptonshire Steelbacks by 15 runs.
Mir scored 20 runs off just seven balls with two overs and remained unbeaten in the first innings.
In the second innings, he proved lethal with the ball as he took three wickets for just 21 runs in three overs.
Mir is one of the nine Pakistani players to feature in this year’s edition. Vitality Blast Which started on Saturday. This is the 21st edition of the tournament which was the first proper T20 league when it started as the Twenty20 Cup in June 2003.
