PTI leader Ejaz Chaudhry rearrested shortly after release from Adiala Jail

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Additional Secretary General Senator Ijaz Chaudhry was re-arrested from Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail on Thursday soon after his release.
He was released on the orders of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), which declared his arrest illegal under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Ordinance (MPO).
As his family waited outside the jail for his release, the PTI senator was re-arrested after exiting the back gate and taken away by security personnel in a private vehicle.
Chaudhry was arrested on May 9 along with other senior party leaders following violent protests across the country following the arrest of Chairman Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
