Six terrorists killed in South Waziristan IBO: ISPR

Security forces killed six terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in South Waziristan, the media affairs wing of the army said on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out based on “reports of the presence of terrorists” in the general area of ​​Kot-e-Azam.

The statement said that during the operation, there was a fierce exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists, as a result of which 6 terrorists were killed.

The media wing of the army says that arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the slain terrorists. The ISPR said that the terrorists were involved in terrorism against security forces, extortion and target killing of innocent civilians.

He added that the area is being cleaned to eliminate other terrorists found in the area.
