Landsliding suspends traffic at highway connecting KP, Balochistan

Oh Landslides Traffic on the N50 National Highway between Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) was completely suspended, but no casualties were reported.
The National Highway Authority (NHA) says that a large part of the border between KP and Balochistan has been submerged due to landslides.

Inayatullah added that it may take 30 hours to restore the highway as around 200 vehicles are stuck. “A whole mountain fell on the road and there are huge rocks,” he added.
He also said that more machinery is being brought from Quetta to Dhan to clean the road.
The NHA said that due to continuous traffic, the rescue operation was facing difficulties at the spot, adding that they had sought help from the civil administration of Zhob and Loralai to stop the traffic.
Meanwhile, rescue officials say that the stormy weather is intensifying at the fault site in Mount Sulaiman.
He further said that the non-cooperation of the KP administration in helping the passengers is raising alarm bells.
