Cross-border firing from Iran martyrs four soldiers

Terrorists attacked a routine border patrol.
Officials are in contact with Iran.
The Interior Minister has condemned the incident.

On Saturday, four soldiers were martyred after a cross-border attack by terrorists on Pakistani soldiers posted in Ketch. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

Earlier today, a group of terrorists operating from Iran attacked a routine border patrol, the army’s media wing said. Pakistani security forces Pakistan is working along the Iran border in Jalgai sector of the district.

ISPR further said that unfortunately 4 jawans including Naik Sher Ahmed, Lance Naik Mohammad Asghar, Sepoy Mohammad Irfan and Sepoy Abdul Rashid were seriously injured in the attack and later succumbed to their injuries.

The statement said that Pakistani authorities are contacting Iran to prevent such incidents in the future.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah condemned the attack and assured the people that the government would breathe a sigh of relief after the end of terrorism.

The Home Minister said that the entire nation is united in the fight against terrorism, lamenting that the sons of the fatherland are embracing martyrdom to protect their land.
