PTI leader, seven others killed in KP rocket attack

At least eight persons incl Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) District Chairman Atif Jadoon Khan was killed when unidentified assailants fired rocket propelled grenades (RPGs) at his vehicle near Havelian in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday.
The assailants attacked Jidoon’s car near Langra area of Abbottabad district when he was on his way home after offering prayers along with seven others. Fatiha In a nearby village, police said.
According to the police officials, the incident seems to be an indication of old enmity.
The vehicle was hit by RPGs, sources familiar with the matter said, adding that the vehicle caught fire after the rocket attack.
As soon as the information was received, the police and rescue personnel reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the hospital for post-mortem.

Contrary to the claims of the sources, however, the police said that the PTI leader was killed in the firing incident.
