Lance Reddick’s wife, Stephanie Reddick, posts tribute to late actor: “Lance was taken from us far too soon”


Lance Reddick’s wife Stephanie Reddick paid tribute to her late husband on Instagram, thanking the late actor’s many fans — especially those who knew him as the voice of Commander Zavala in the popular “Destiny” video game series. But knew.

“Lance was taken from us too soon,” Stephanie Reddick wrote on her late husband’s Instagram account. “Thank you for the overwhelming love, support and beautiful stories shared across these platforms over the past day. I’ve been seeing your messages and can’t express how grateful I am for them.

“And to the thousands of Destiny players who paid special tribute to Lance, thank you,” he added, referring to Lance Reddick’s voice character. “Lance loved you as much as he loved the game.”

Lance ReddickThe actor, best known for his roles in the HBO police drama “The Wire” and the action movies “John Wick,” died Friday of natural causes, his rep Mia Henson confirmed to CBS News. He was 60 years old.

Stephanie Reddick asked her late husband’s followers to donate to MOMCares, a charity that specializes in helping high-risk and NICU moms in the actor’s hometown of Baltimore.

According to its website, the organization “serves underserved mothers in Baltimore City with NICU experiences that include prenatal and postnatal doula care, including transportation, advocacy, self opportunities for care, and nutritious food to mothers and their families”.
