Police granted permission to search Zaman Park
LAHORE: An agreement has been reached between the Punjab government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to allow the police to search. Zaman Park In relation to the clashes that took place on March 14 and 15 in this area.
The details were submitted in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday during the hearing of a petition filed by PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry seeking execution of the arrest warrant issued against former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The agreement deals with the security of the former prime minister, holding rallies and other legal matters under which the former ruling party will cooperate with the provincial administration in the execution of search and arrest warrants.
On behalf of PTI, Shibli Faraz and Ali Mohammad Khan have been appointed persons while SSP Imran Kishor will represent the police for communication.
The party will also cooperate with the police to investigate the cases registered on the clashes on March 14 and 15.
It has also been decided that PTI will hold a public meeting. on Monday instead of Sunday while will contact the management for permission. Tehreek-e-Insaf will also inform the administration five days before the rally.
The government will implement the guidelines for the security of the PTI chairman and submit the request for party security to the concerned authorities.
