Putin arrest warrant for alleged war crimes in Ukraine issued by International Criminal Court
The International Criminal Court said on Friday that it has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Putin. For war crimes Because of his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of children from Ukraine.
Putin is allegedly responsible for the war crime of illegal deportation of population (children) and illegal transfer of population (children) from occupied territories of Ukraine to the Russian Federation, the court said in a statement.
It also issued a warrant on Friday for the arrest of Maria Alekseevna Lova-Belova, the commissioner for children’s rights in the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, on similar charges.
The ICC said its Pre-Trial Chamber found that “there are reasonable grounds to believe that each of the suspects has committed unlawful deportation and illegal transfer of population from the occupied territories of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.” is responsible for the war crime of Ukrainian children.”
