On Thursday, the PTI chairman said on Twitter that he will not hesitate to make any sacrifice for Pakistan.
The development came a day after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered talks to his predecessor while addressing a meeting held with a delegation of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) at the Prime Minister’s House. He said that all political parties should come together to take the country forward.
In another tweet, Khan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to those who supported him in his struggle for “real freedom” and prayed for the success of his movement.
Khan vowed to appear in court on March 18.
Earlier today, Imran Khan said that he believes in the rule of law and said that I will appear in court on March 18, then why is this whole drama being created?
A district and sessions court in Islamabad had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Khan and directed the police to arrest him in connection with the Tosha Khana case and produce him before the court on March 18.
Khan claimed that efforts to arrest him were not being made to produce him before the courts but to “kill” him.
Speaking to reporters, the PTI leader feared that he would be “tortured” if arrested.
“I have never refused to appear in court, but they are calling me to a place where I have security concerns,” he said when he was injured in an assassination attack in Wazirabad on November 3, 2022.
