King Charles will disregard opinion polls of his coronation day: report
The anti-monarchy group the Republic expects 1,000 people to turn up on the day of King Charles’ coronation.
According to British media, this will be the biggest protest of the group.
A recent poll showed that 56 percent of people have a positive opinion of the monarchy since Charles became king.
During Queen Elizabeth’s reign, the number of people who had a positive opinion of the monarchy was 70.
Leaving an ally of Charles, a Telegraph article suggested that the monarch would ignore the public opinion polls of the day and simply do what he was told to do.
He said that while “Democracy represents a minority,” it is a minority that is constantly growing.
King Charles will be crowned on May 6 this year.
