Helen Mirren celebrates Michelle Yeoh’s Oscar win
Helen Mirren is embracing the cultural shift in Hollywood. The actress was excited about it.Everything everywhere at once‘ star Michelle Yeoh’s Oscar win, she told Variety on the red carpet for her new film Shazam! Wrath of the Gods.
The veteran actress who plays the goddess Hespera, the daughter of Atlas in the sequel Shazam! said:
“I’ve seen the culture change. Especially in the film world, there was a lot of this attitude that a woman’s career was over at 30, maybe 35. It’s very different now and I love it!”
The actress also praised Yeoh’s statement encouraging women to “don’t let anyone tell you, you’re always past your prime.”
Actress Lucy Liu attended the premiere of Jo Bhi. Shazam! Wrath of the Gods And the stars agreed with Mirren, “Michelle was right.”
