Live updates: Russia’s war in Ukraine
At least two people were killed and five wounded by Russian shelling in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region on Wednesday, Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, said in a Telegram post.
He said that two women, aged 62 and 57, were killed in Marhannet town. According to preliminary information, one man and three women have been hospitalized, and another injured woman will be treated on an outpatient basis, he said.
More than a dozen multi-storey buildings and several private houses were damaged in Marhanet in the shelling, the regional administration said in a separate post.
“One of them caught fire — rescue workers have already put out the fire. A shop, a cultural center and a hostel were damaged,” the regional administration said.
