Islamabad welcomes Divvy Film Festival

The much-anticipated festival has been organized by Foundation Art Devi in collaboration with PNCA. The Foundation works to provide a platform for Pakistani arts and film at the institutional level—locally and internationally.
Film programs were distributed in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
Now in its third year, the festival features feature films, short films, documentaries and animated films that will run each evening and are designed to create a thought-provoking and immersive experience for its audience, culminating in It will be accompanied by a discussion with the film directors.
Films screened at the festival will cover a wide range of themes, including human stories of love and heartbreak, coming of age, self-discovery, climate change, the trauma of loss, as well as the joy of ordinary and unexpected moments. .
“They capture the experiences and memories within us and bring out the hero in all of us,” said Zahra, creative director of Foundation Art Devi.
Some of the notable names whose films will be screened through the festival include documentary filmmaker Mahira Omar, actor Usman Mukhtar and Sarmad Khost.
After the screening is over, the event will conclude with an award ceremony.
At least 16 films were screened during the Devi Film Festival in Karachi. Karachi Literature Festival (KLF) at Beach Luxury Hotel from February 17 to 18.
