MDCAT 2022: PMC to conduct entrance test in November

The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) announced on Friday that the entrance test for private and government medical universities and colleges will be conducted on November 13 or 20.

Talking with Geo.tv, PMC President Dr. Naushad Sheikh said that it has been agreed to conduct the entry test in Pakistan in mid-November, but the final date will be decided soon.

He said that the test will be conducted under uniform policy and one government university in each province is allowed to conduct it.

He said that students securing 60 per cent marks in the intermediate examinations would be eligible to appear in the entrance test, adding that students with 65 per cent marks were eligible earlier but now the law has been changed.

He said that students securing 55 marks will be eligible for admission in medical college, while those securing 45 marks will be eligible for admission in dental college.

According to the president, 250,000 students will participate. Assay For 20,000 seats across the country.

The President further said that the decision to conduct the entry test for overseas Pakistani students has not been taken yet. Either the students will have to come to Pakistan or the test will be conducted online by opening four centers across Pakistan.
