Colorful lights, decorations, unique designs, and many others are also themed. A large idol of Maa Durga is installed at these places. People from far and wide come to witness the grand Para Durga Puja program and seek the blessings of Mother Durga.

Briar Durga Puja: Briar Pooja means worshiping Mother Durga at home. This pooja gives a homely atmosphere and brings people closer to their roots with the essence of homecoming. Such pooja takes place in old houses in North Kolkata or in rich or ancestral houses in South Kolkata.
