Alizey Sultan told to respond to Feroze Khan’s plea for children’s custody
Actor Feroze Khan has approached the family court for visitation rights and custody of his two children after his separation from his wife Aliza Sultan.
Family Judge-VIII (East) directed Ms. Sultan to file her written statement on the petition filed by Khan seeking permanent custody of the children – Muhammad Sultan Khan and Fatima Khan – under Section 25 of the Guardian and Wards Act. Permission was requested to give and meet them. on a weekly basis until the case is decided under Section 12 of the Act.
On Wednesday, the female accused produced the minors in the court where they also met their father. The judge disposed of a separate petition filed by Khan under Section 100 of the Criminal Code (CrPC) seeking the recovery of his children through the SHO of Gulistan Jahore police station, observing that holding that it had become a minor because there were already minor children. He was produced in the court and also met his father.
The hearing was adjourned until October 1 when Ms Sultan is required to file a written statement on the application.
Khan and Sultan tied the knot on 30 March 2018.
Khan, through his lawyer Faiq Ali Jagirani, said he divorced Ms Sultan on September 3 due to “inevitable circumstances and lack of understanding between them” as she was “not obedient to him”.
The lawyer argued that his client, being the natural guardian of the minors, cannot leave them at the mercy of his ex-wife as he has grave concerns about their future as “she is a careless woman.” They maintained that the actor is entitled to full visitation, visitation and permanent custody of his children.
The lawyer said that Ms. Sultan Khan was not allowing Khan to visit the minors, requesting the court to direct him to hand over custody of the minors to her permanently and to visit the minors on a weekly basis pending a decision on the petition. Be allowed to meet.
