Pakistan taking all measures to protect minorities’ rights: Bilawal

• Bilawal Bhutto said that the protection of the rights of minorities is the basic principle of protection of human rights in Pakistan.

New York: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Wednesday that Pakistan is “taking all steps to protect human rights”. MinoritiesAnd that everyone has religious freedom in this country.

Speaking during a high-level meeting on the effective promotion of the Declaration of the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities held on the occasion of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The foreign minister said that the protection of the rights of minorities was the basic principle of protection of human rights in Pakistan.

Bilawal said that the Kartarpur Corridor is a reflection of our efforts for interfaith harmony and it is a corridor of hope, adding that Pakistan celebrates Minority Protection Day on August 11 every year.
