Famous Indian comedian Raju Shrivastav passes away at 58 | The Express Tribune
According to Indian news agency ANI, famous Indian comedian Raju Shrivastava died in Delhi at the age of 58. This news has been confirmed by his family. Shrivastava died two months after being admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and was on and off a ventilator.
Comedian Raju Srivastava died in Delhi at the age of 58, his family confirmed.
He was admitted to AIIMS Delhi on August 10 after suffering chest pains and collapsing during a gym workout.

After two rounds of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) failed to revive the comic, he had to be shifted to the ICU. His wife Shikha Srivastava also reached Delhi after being admitted to the hospital.
Last month, it was reported that his condition is stable and he is slowly recovering at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. In a statement, the comedian’s daughter Antara Srivastava said, “My father’s condition is stable and slowly improving. He is currently on a ventilator.”
He appealed to more people to trust the news coming from his official account on social media and the statement of AIIMS. “Only statements from official social media accounts of AIIMS, Delhi and Rajuji are reliable and genuine. Any other news or statement from anyone else is unreliable. Doctors of AIIMS Delhi and their entire team work hard and diligently. We are grateful to him and all his well-wishers”, confirmed Shrivastava’s daughter.
Srivastava has been active in the stand-up comedy scene since the 1990s, most notable for his comedy. He has also appeared in similar films. Toilet: A Prem Katha. Srivastava is currently serving as the Chairman of the Film Development Council in Uttar Pradesh.
Shrivastava played small roles in such films. Answer (1988), I loved (1989) and actor (1993) Surviving in the city until he got a show on Doordarshan.
