After the bodies of the three workers were found, the federal government decided to investigate the incident.
Talking to reporters after meeting top officials of the MQMP at their temporary headquarters, the home minister assured the party that the government would do its best to resolve the issue.
In the meeting, Siddiqui told the minister that he was unable to explain the situation after seeing the dead bodies of three MQMP workers who had been missing for years.
It was not possible for the party to satisfy the families of the slain workers. Therefore, we invited the families of the missing workers to share their grief with the Home Minister. The MQMP leader said that the minister should answer the questions raised by the families of the missing workers.
Talking to the affected families, the Home Minister said that he understands the pain of these mothers and sisters.
“I have been through this situation myself. Enforced disappearance is the biggest crime and those who do it are enemies of the constitution and law. It is the responsibility of the federal and provincial governments to trace the missing persons and bring them to justice.
He said that Pakistan is indebted to all the families whose loved ones have gone missing and they are standing with the country even after this sorrow.
“We assure the families of the missing persons that their patience will not be in vain.”
On this occasion, dozens of families narrated their sad stories and appealed to the Interior Minister to recover their missing persons.
Talking to the family, Sanaullah assured his cooperation and said that he will use all resources for justice.
He said that the grief of missing families is more painful than death, but all these families have patiently recorded their protest.
“We have always opposed violence, torture and disappearances. We will make sincere efforts to recover the missing persons and there will be effective and positive progress in this regard in the coming days.
We hope that the leadership of MQMP and the people who are going through this situation will keep their faith in us.
In response to a question, the interior minister said that the issue of missing persons is defaming Pakistan.
“This is not to save face, but this is the problem of the entire nation. We are sincerely trying to recover the missing persons,” he told the families of the missing persons.
On this occasion, the Interior Minister said that I and Federal Minister Ayaz Sadiq visited the MQMP office on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to meet the families of the missing persons.
He further said that Siddiqui had a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz and many steps were agreed upon and many aspects were decided to be implemented.
