The PTI government in Punjab is once again at loggerheads with the Center as Chief Minister Pervez Elahi transferred Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mehmood Dogar despite the federal government’s orders to transfer him. He has instructed not to leave his responsibilities. News Reported
In an unexpected move, federal government Withdraw the services of CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar and direct him to report to the Establishment Division for further orders.
however, The divinerefused to comply with the orders, saying the Center had no authority to order the transfer.
“Remove or move CCPO I have authority,” he said.
The chief minister was of the view that the government orders of exchange were based on revenge.
Meanwhile, Punjab Home Minister Hashim Dogar also said that Ghulam Mehmood will continue to work as CCPO of Lahore and will not report to the Cabinet Division.
