The Golden Globes are returning to NBC

“We recognize the HFPA’s commitment to ongoing change and look forward to welcoming the Golden Globes back to NBC in January 2023 for its historic 80th anniversary,” said Francis Brock, NBC Universal Television and Streaming. Entertainment Networks chairman said in a statement.

NBC announced in 2021 that it would temporarily end the decades-long relationship and not carry the 2022 ceremony. The HFPA has since been working to rebuild its reputation.

“The HFPA is committed to important changes and supporting programs that prioritize diversity, inclusion and transparency,” HFPA President Helen Hoehne said in a statement.

The HFPA has added 103 new voters in recent months and said in a press release that its voting body is “now 52% female” and “51.5% racially and ethnically diverse.”

Nominations for the 80th Golden Globe Awards will be announced on December 12, 2022.
