Queen Elizabeth’s scrambled eggs recipe was shared by nutritionist Lee Holmes on Instagram Reels. According to the Post, a friend of Holmes claimed he cooked for the Queen a few years ago. Thus, Lee also tried to make these scrambled eggs in a way that the queen liked and she also enjoyed the recipe quite a bit. “A dear friend of mine was lucky enough to have a queen and shared her favorite scrambled eggs recipe with me,” she wrote in her message.   • Sea salt, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter or extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped Lemon juice
  • A pinch of ground nutmeg
  • Freshly chopped black pepper, to taste
  • snipped chives and Capers Serving (optional)

Method:

  1. Whisk the eggs and milk in a bowl until well combined. Add salt to taste.
  2. Heat the butter or olive oil in a small frying pan over a low-medium heat. Add the eggs and reduce the heat to low, moving them around the pan slowly with a spatula so they don’t stick to the bottom.
  3. Before they begin to set, stir in the lemon zest, nutmeg, and additional salt, if desired.
  4. Garnish with black pepper and chives and serve immediately.
