Kirk Cousins criticism on social media gets loud as Vikings lose in quarterback’s three-interception night

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins failed. From a Week 1 victory against the Green Bay Packers to carry the momentum into a Week 2 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Cousins and the Vikings fell. 24-7 for the Eagles as was the veteran quarterback’s score all night in Philadelphia. Darius Slay had two and Avonte Maddox had another in the Eagles’ win.

Cousins seems to have had trouble just finding Slay. The four-time Pro Bowler had five passes defensed and one tackle. He helped Justin Jefferson to just six catches on 12 targets and 48 receiving yards. Jefferson’s longest play of the night was just 11 yards.
As the closest defender to Justin Jefferson on 5 targets, Slay “had (1) more interceptions per game than receptions allowed,” according to Next Gen Stats.

Cousins was 27-for-46 with 221 passing yards, a touchdown pass to Irvine Smith Jr., and three picks. He also bumped the ball at one point but managed to recover. He led. Vikings with 20 rushing yards.
