Fawad Chaudhry explains Imran Khan’s Monday speech

• Fawad Chaudhry explained Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s speech on Monday.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Fawad Chaudhry said that PTI wants a healthy relationship with the army. He said that there is a background to Imran Khan’s speech on Monday.

Talking to a private news channel, he said that Muslim League (N) leader Khurram Dastgir had said that he was told that if Imran Khan brings Army chief of your choiceWe [the PDM leaders] All will be in jails.”

He said that at that time ISPR should have told Khurram to keep quiet. However, later other PML-N leaders, Javed Latif and Maryam Nawaz, did the necessary work.

Fawad Chaudhry said that Khurram Dastgir has given another statement, in which it has been said that the next army chief will be appointed by Prime Minister Sharif. Dastgir said that Prime Minister Shehbaz will consult Nawaz on the appointment of a military leader during his visit to London.

He said that Imran Khan’s statement was given in the background that Pakistan’s Secret Act prohibits the Prime Minister from doing so.

The PTI leader questioned how the appointment of the Army Chief can be consulted regarding the convicted person i.e. Nawaz Sharif.

Imran criticized Prime Minister Shehbaz for going abroad during the flood disasters.
