Bills’ Dane Jackson taken to hospital with neck injury
Jackson suffered the injury late in the second quarter against the Tennessee Titans. He nailed receiver Treylin Burks from behind after a 12-yard catch. As Jackson lay on Burks’ back, linebacker Tremaine Edmonds made a late dive and hit his teammate directly in the helmet. Jackson’s neck snapped back after the collision.
After the play, Titans running back Hassan Haskins pulled Jackson away from Burks. Jackson lay face down and hit the turf with his right arm.
The game was delayed for about 10 minutes as team doctors attended to Jackson, who was shaking his legs. He was then carried off the field on a stretcher and an ambulance.
Jackson is the third-year player to start the season in place of Tre’Davious White, who is recovering from a left knee injury suffered last year.
