Aaron Judge Barry Bonds and Sammy Sosa are one home run away from becoming the first MLB players to eclipse the 60-homer mark in a single season in 2001.

One of those people watching the slugger would be a relative of “The Great Bambino” himself, Babe Ruth. The legendary baseball player originally held the record for most home runs in a single season with 60 in 1927 before Marrs, Bonds, Sosa and Mark McGwire would surpass him.

“I would say Judge’s great shots are reminiscent of Babe,” he told the outlet. “That’s a nice way to put it.”
Stevens said he was in Judge’s corner in pursuit.
“Everything I’ve heard about him is that he’s a good young man, and you want someone like that to do well,” he said.
“He’s got a good swing. … You find him a little clumsy on the field because he’s so big, but he’s acrobatic and very athletic. They always talked about the sound when Babe hit the ball, That it was different than when someone else hits, and they say the same thing about the judge.

He leads the American League in two of the three key categories – home runs (59) and RBI (127). His .316 batting average is just .001 off that of Minnesota Twins first baseman Luis Arriez.
