The employees called the police and rushed to the shelter. When employees arrived, they found a broken window and a rock, as well as open animal crates.

The person who found Violet found her tied to a telephone in an area near the shelter. He recognized the dog and brought it to the shelter.
PAWS Atlanta wrote on Facebook, “We have no reason to believe that the person who found and returned her is connected to the break-in, and we are looking forward to her care and support. Thank you.”

Violet became the second dog to be reunited at the shelter when she was spotted by a man walking his dog on Sunday morning.

The dog was not harmed, the shelter said. Violet was wearing a leash and harness that did not belong to the shelter but may have belonged to the person who took her.
“The location where Violet was found is near PAWS Atlanta and not too far from where Emilia was found Friday night,” the shelter wrote. “It is very possible that the suspect lives in the area, so we encourage people living nearby to be especially vigilant.”

The third dog, however, is still missing. PAWS Atlanta said on social media that a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Princeton’s safe return.
