On the direction of the Government of Punjab, the management of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) has set up dengue counters in emergency/outdoor departments for timely free diagnosis, treatment and guidance of patients suffering from this virus. Doctors, nurses and other medical staff will be available to treat such patients in emergency and OPDs.

These views were expressed by Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Professor Dr Muhammad Al Farid Zafar while reviewing the arrangements made for anti-dengue activities, public awareness and providing best medical facilities to patients at LGH on Monday morning.

On this occasion, MSLGH Dr. Khalid bin Aslam told the principal in a briefing that 56 beds have already been allocated for dengue fever patients, while this number has been increased to 200 in view of any need. will go Similarly, doctors and nurses were assigned duty and were not allowed to go on leave without approval.

The principal of PGMI highlighted that strict monitoring should be done to eliminate the dengue mosquito breeding in the hospital building and the teams formed for this purpose should carefully inspect the roofs, lawns and pots of the buildings so that Water should not accumulate in any place, which may pose a risk to breeding. of the dengue mosquito. Likewise, the practice of daily spraying to prevent dengue virus in LGH should continue to protect patients, families and health professionals.
