Post Malone suffers bruised ribs after falling through a hole on stage in St. Louis | CNN

The rapper Post a Melon. According to his manager, he fell on Saturday during a performance in St. Louis and injured his ribs.

“Thank you all for all your well wishes! @postmalone didn’t break 3 ribs. [sic] Thank God,” wrote the rapper’s manager Dre London On Instagram on Sunday. “We did x-rays @ the hospital after the show and they announced he hurt his ribs!”

Post Malone was performing at the Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis when he collapsed.

Concertgoer Tana Cantrell told CNN the accident happened about an hour into her performance.

“From my angle at the time, it looked like he just fell on the stage, clutching the middle of his chest,” Cantrell said. “You could see from his face and his body how much pain he was in and that’s when I knew it was serious. His legs were shaking from the pain.”

“From other angles you can see that there was a hole in the stage that he fell through when he lowered his guitar and he didn’t get back to the floor in time,” Cantrell added.

After about 10 minutes, Post Malone got up with the help of others, and went to take a break, according to Cantrell. Cantrell said that once he returned to the stage, he apologized repeatedly before ending the show.

Dre London praised the rapper for closing the show “in true postie fashion.”

“I don’t really know an artist like him,” the Instagram post continued.

On Sunday, the rapper apologized and thanked his St. Louis fans. In a video also posted on Dre London’s Instagram. He confirmed Cantrell’s account that he fell through a hole intended to hold his guitar stand.

“We just got back from the hospital, and everything is fine,” Post Malone said in the video. “They gave me some pain meds and everything, so we could keep kicking on tour.”
