Yoga is the key.

PM Modi has always sworn by the power of yoga. Acknowledging that people may have different ways of staying fit, the Prime Minister has always said that she has benefited greatly from yoga. In a tweet in March 2020 – at a time when the severity of the Covid pandemic was still hitting the world – the PM said, “Practice of yoga has been an integral part of my life for many years and I Found it beneficial.”

The PM had also said, “Whenever I get time, I practice yoga nidra once or twice a week”.

Swears by Ayurveda.

PM Modi has also been a strong supporter of Ayurveda and had said that after yoga, the world would soon embrace the ancient principles of Ayurveda from India. PM Modi has said that the youth must take the lead in explaining this to the countries in a scientific way.

Relies on old home remedies for common ailments.

In an interview, the PM revealed that he also treats his colds by drinking hot water and fasting. Also, PM Modi has always encouraged countrymen to rely on time-tested home remedies to treat common ailments.

His morning workout

PM Modi has said that he does breathing exercises and also walks on the track which is inspired by the 5 elements of nature Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu and Akash. He had tweeted a video of his morning regime. “Apart from yoga, I walk on a track inspired by the Panchatutas or the 5 elements of nature – Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Akash. It’s very refreshing and rejuvenating. I also do breathing exercises,” he said in 2018. What was the tweet?

A healthy breakfast

PM Modi starts his day with a healthy breakfast consisting mostly of poha and ginger tea. PM Modi is a strict vegetarian, so his diet consists of fruits and vegetables. He also loves traditional South Indian and Gujarati dishes and relishes them whenever he gets the chance.
