Junaid Safdar serves legal notice to former diplomat Zafar Hilaly

Maryam Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar sent a notice to analyst Zafar Hilali.

In a legal notice sent through Barrister Zafarullah Khan, Safdar has demanded Rs 500 million in damages and an unconditional apology from the former diplomat. The alleged tweet.

Safdar wants Hilali to retract his defamatory tweet in the same manner and manner as it was published to the public at large, the notice said.

Junaid’s lawyer said he would initiate civil and criminal legal proceedings against Hilali if the analyst did not apologize to his client.

The notice states that Junaid has obtained four degrees from abroad which include:

BA Politics from University of Durham
MSc Global Governance and Ethics from University College London
MSc International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science
BA Law from Cambridge University

This notice is issued in response to a tweet published by @ZafarHillaly account. The tweet was later removed.

In which it was claimed that Safdar was arrested in London after obtaining a fake degree.

However, Hilali’s account is @zafarhilaly. The analyst denied it had anything to do with the tweet.

“I just saw a tweet from my account accusing Junaid Safdar of getting a fake degree from Oxford University.[ersity]”They said.

Hilali added, “I have nothing to do with this tweet and disclaim all responsibility. Also, I have never tweeted in Urdu.”
