Will ‘Brahmastra’ part 2 star Deepika, Ranveer in lead roles? | The Express Tribune

Ayan Mukherjee’s film is not even a week old. Brahmastra: Part I – Shiva was released in theaters and fans are already waiting for the second part.

With the debut of husband-wife duo Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, some are speculating whether the next installment will retain the original cast or will feature star couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.

Breaking the silence on fan speculation about the cast of the second film in the planned fantasy trilogy, film critic and author Anupama Chopra, on Film Companion“I hope that learning from this film (Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva) will enable them (the makers) to definitely make a kickass part two with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone,” he said.

After Chopra expressed her opinion, the chat show host asked her if the news was confirmed or not. Although he didn’t say anything clearly, he responded by blinking his eyes in a way that confirmed the development and that was enough to get fans excited already!

Earlier this week, Mukherjee, director of Brahmastra.told Times of India that the makers will “plan to shoot the second and third parts”. He added that “the trilogy will tell the same story, but that each film will introduce new characters and add a different perspective to the overall narrative.”

Fans also brought back an old picture shared on Instagram by Brahmastra co-producer Karan Johar. In the picture, big Bollywood actors Aamir Khan, Bhatt, Kapoor, Johar, Padukone, Singh and Shah Rukh Khan are seen in one frame.

Looking at what looked like a reunion at first, fans are now wondering if everyone in the picture is actually the star cast of its second edition. Brahmastra.. Well, we’ll just have to wait and see!

Brahmastra.Produced by Dharma Productions, released in theaters worldwide on September 9, 2022. Apart from Bhatt and Kapoor, it stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in lead roles. Shah Rukh Khan also has a cameo in the film.
