Ayan Mukerji confirms spinoff starring Shah Rukh Khan | The Express Tribune

Shah Rukh Khan’s fans swooned over his brief role in the film Brahmastra.. The superstar’s role as Mohan Bhargava, a scientist who runs Vanarastra, has been one of the most talked about aspects of the film.

Many even called it the “best part” of the film and demanded to focus on her role on social media. And when were their prayers accepted? Brahmastra. Director Ayan Mukherjee recently confirmed this.

According to Hindustan Times, Mukherjee has now shared that not only Shahrukh’s fans but also the makers of the film are thinking of a spin-off for his character. In fact, the idea first came to him when he was shooting the sequence. The filmmaker teased that the spin-off could tell the origin story of the scientist.

Mukherjee said Indian Express, “Before the fans said it, we were saying it ourselves. We were saying it on set when we were shooting the sequence in 2019. As we explored the character of the scientist, we said , ‘dude, we have to do things. We have to do the original story of the scientist!”

The director added that his team also agreed with the idea that Shah Rukh’s role should not be limited to a cameo in just one film. “We were vibrating on that frequency, my assistants and I,” he said. “So, I guess my reaction to the spin-off demand is: We’re already thinking about it. We hear everything. and planning their next moves.

Brahmastra Part 1 – Siva stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead alongside Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. Apart from Shah Rukh, Deepika Padukone also appeared in a guest role in the film. The science fiction drama released in theaters on September 9 and is doing well at the box office. Mukherjee plans to make two more films in the franchise, with which he plans to establish a multiverse called ‘Strawverse’.
